The Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath hasn’t seen their annual panto on stage since December 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic forcing closure of its doors.

After a two-year break the theatre is once again teaming up with the multi-talented writer, director and chorographer, JJ Christine, to bring the people of Angus and beyond a magical festive extravaganza in the form of Rapunzel featuring Puss in Boots.

ANGUSalive Webster Theatre Duty Manager, Claire Drummie said: “The entire Webster Theatre team have missed pantomime over the past two years as it really does bring something special to the theatre and the local community.

We’re hoping the pandemic continues to head in the right direction and we’ll be able to raise the curtain again to bring the panto back this December."

She added: “Our annual panto features a professional cast that we will be auditioning for soon. As always we’ll be look, May 14 for 10 to 16 year olds who are interested in acting, singing, dancing and would like to work with a professional cast and production team.”

“The production team will be working hard once again this year to bring the professional standard that our panto-goers have grown to expect and we can’t wait to get started.”
