Rollercoaster ride through the Bible

Forfar Dramatic Society continue their exciting autumn programme by presenting ‘The Bible: The Complete Word of God (Abridged)’ in the perfect location of the East and Old Parish Church in the town.

Touching on everything from Creation, to Noah’s Ark, to a side-splittingly funny, chaotic retelling of the Last Supper, the show is a true crowd pleaser for all audiences and the church board has entered into the spirit of things by agreeing to allow the society to use the church as the venue.

In fact, this production is staged in association with the East and Old Parish Church and its members.

This affectionate, fast paced journey from fig leaves to Final Judgment was written by Adam Long, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor and not even the most sombre theatre-goer could take offence at this snappy, slick and utterly entertaining show.

This is strictly a tongue-in-cheek production that should be taken with a large pinch of salt so do not expect a reverential re-telling of Christianity. Instead, prepare yourself for a rollercoaster ride through the Old and New Testaments and prepare to be entertained, shocked and surprised all in the same evening - new jokes, new songs, same God

The play is performed by three actors who play a multitude of characters with a few songs, some familiar and some original thrown in for good measure.

The show is a true crowd pleaser and entirely suitable for all audiences.

The performances take place on Thursday, October 17, and Friday, October 18, starting at 7.30 pm and tickets are priced at £6.

They can be reserved by e-mailing forfardramatic@live.co.uk or by ‘phoning 07783 481259.

Tickets can also be purchased from the Box Office at the Toy Castle, 86 Castle Street, Forfar.
