The multi-award winning site-specific production Roadkill will be staged in Dundee next month in an apartment in the city.

Roadkill is inspired by a true story of sex trafficking in modern day Scotland and was the only production in Edinburgh Festival history to win every major award.

With remarkable performances Roadkill has sold-out in Glasgow, Paris, London, Chicago, New York and Edinburgh.

Roadkill will be performed in Dundee from Friday, September 20 until Sunday, September 22 at 8 p.m., on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, September 21.

This Olivier Award winning production begins on a bus where audience members accompany young Mary and her ‘Auntie’ to Mary’s new home.

Having just arrived from Nigeria, Mary hopes to learn English and find a good job.

Staged in a Dundee apartment, the audience experiences immersive site-specific theatre at its most potent, trapped in the apartment Mary has been brought to and witnessing how her hopes of a new life are suddenly destroyed as she is brutally forced into captivity and the world of sex trafficking.

Tickets are on sale from Dundee Rep Theatre box office on 01382 223530 or online

Roadkill was originally produced by Ankur productions, The Traverse and Pachamama in 2010.

It follows on from Dundee Rep Ensemble’s production of Victoria, the Scottish premier of David Greig’s trilogy in one lay which runs from September 4 to 21.

Victoria is set in 1936, 1976 and 1996 and tells the story of three generations of rich and poor in the Scottish highlands.

Grasping the huge theme of the split in the country’s culture between repression and openness, it revolves around three different Victorias.

For 1936, Victoria, a minister’s daughter, stands under a tree, lights a cigarette and dreams of emigration.

1976 - a helicopter crashes on a hill and Victoria, a young American geologist, emerges from the wreckage - alive.

1996 - Victoria, daughter of a local tycoon, makes a bonfire of money and watches it burn.
