A GREAT night of traditional music is on offer at the Caird Hall, Dundee on Friday, February 22 with Rura and Lorne MacDougall.

Rura’s powerful, energetic performance breathe new life into traditional music and showcase the emerging talent in new contemporary folk.

Featuring three BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year finalists and an All Ireland Bodhran champion, their sound is passionate, exhilarating and without limits.

Lorne MacDougall is a versatile musician who plays highland bagpipes, smallpipes, Border pipes and whistles.

Lorne co-produced all the Red Hot Chilli Pipers albums including ‘Bagrock to the Masses’ and recorded the pipe music for a recent BBC Children in Need single and performed for the 2012 Disney Pixar movie ‘Brave’.
