Bullseye for Oliver!

The cast of KAOS is hoping their cute puppy will grow quite a bit in the next six weeks to make a convincing, menacing “Bullseye” in their forthcoming production of Oliver!

Bull terrier Murdo weighs in at 36lbs at his young age of 14 weeks. When he takes to the stage at the end of March he will be following in his uncle and aunt’s footsteps as they both played the part of Bill Sykes’ dog in the KAOS production of the show in 2000.

The two other newcomers to the stage in Kirrie are Logan Stewart and Andrew Smith who play Oliver and the Artful Dodger respectively. The roles of Fagin and Bill Sykes will be played by Jim Walker and Neil Paterson respectively in a production which has one of the company’s biggest casts.

The show will be staged from March 27 to 31 in the Town Hall, Kirriemuir at 7.30 pm.

Before then society members will be busy fund-raising.

They are holding a hamper raffle in the Co-op this on Saturday, a pub quiz in the Airlie Arms Hotel on Friday, February 24 at 7.30 (anyone interested in entering a team of four should contact Jim Walker on 572910), and their annual coffee morning will take place on Saturday, March 3 in the Old Parish Church Hall at 10 am.
