Top Scottish folk rock band Skerryvore are appearing in the Reid Hall, Forfar on Saturday, October 4.

Tickets are already selling well for what promises to be a great night by one of Scotland’s leading exponents of the genre, playing their eclectic brand of original music.

If you have not heard Skerryvore before, why not have a look at their website at www.skerryvore.com where there is a lot of information on the band as well as the opportunity to listen to some of their music via a number of video clips from a variety of past performances.

The Reid Hall gig, organised by Forfar Dramatic Society, will have a mix of seating arrangements.

For those wishing to watch the concert in style, the balcony will be open with a traditional seating arrangement.

On the floor of the hall there will be a number of tables round the side which will hold 10 people, with the centre of the floor free for those who wish to stand or express themselves to the music.

Seats will be available on a first come first served basis. The promoters will, however, reserve a table of 10 where groups wish to sit together.

As an incentive, a special offer of one free ticket is available when 10 tickets are booked and a table reserved. This offer can be processed via the online booking system.

There will be a licensed bar facility available, serving a full range of alcoholic and soft drinks.

All tickets are priced at £15, plus a small booking fee, and are available from www.ticketsource.com or www.forfardramatic.com

There is also a telephone booking service available via Ticket Source which is, 0333 666 3366. The service is available Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The calls are charged at a standard network rate.

Be sure you don’t miss this novel event, in what will be Skerryvore’s first appearance in the Angus town.

Prior to the gig in Forfar, the six-piece band will embark on an extensive tour of the United States in August, before playing at a variety of festivals in several European countries throughout September.
