Packed programme at the Caird Hall

THE new spring brochure for the Caird Hall in Dundee has just been released, giving details of a packed programme featuring music and laughter to the bizarre!

It starts on Saturday, May 7 with the hilarious one-man Star Wars Trilogy with Canadian actor Charles Ross who single-handedly plays all the characters, sings the music, flies the ships, fights the battles and condenses the plots into 60 minutes!

Next up is the fabulous, nostalgic show Ladies of Country on May 11, followed by the British Pink Floyd tribute show on May 18. The RSNO’s ground-breaking Naked Classics is performed on May 19 followed by the beautiful melodies of Foster and Allen on May 20.

There will be a performance from the international organ recitalist Thomas Trotter on May 21 whilst the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra will perform Torah and Beauty & The Beast on May 22.

Shaolin Warriors, legendary masters of Kung-Fu return with their brand new show on May 25, followed by Back For Good featuring Tony Lewis as Robbie Williams who will recreate the magic of Take That on May 26.

The music continues with Jane McDonald and Olly Murs on May 28 and May 31 respectively, whilst there will be laughter therapy from Jimmy Carr on Friday, June 17.

The autumn organ concert series runs in August and September with the last night of the BBC Proms returning on September 10. The spectaucular Essence of Ireland is back with their new show on September 28 followed by the RSNO’s Auld Alliance concert featuring Nicola Benedetti on September 29.
