Dundee Rep Theatre is delighted to announce another diverse and exciting season of work for autumn 2014.

Productions from the award-winning Dundee Rep Ensemble include ‘The Glass Menagerie’ by Tennessee Williams, ‘The Gamblers’ in collaboration with Greyscale, and Christmas will be celebrated with Roald Dahl’s ‘James and the Giant Peach’.

Following the success of its previous community tours, Dundee Rep Ensemble will tour Tennessee Williams’ ‘Talk to Me Like the Rain’ and ‘Let Me Listen’ to venues across the city for the fifth consecutive year. 
The Dundee Schools Music Theatre’s Back to Back returns with Cole Porter’s masterpiece ‘Kiss Me Kate’, and ‘On Our Way to Lisbon’ is back after two previous sell-out shows.

One of Britain’s best-loved actors, Simon Callow, steps out in ‘The Man Jesus’ and Coronation Street’s Shobna Gulati and Joe McGann (‘The Upper Hand’) will perform in the hilarious romantic adventure ‘April in Paris’ by John Godber.

On the 30th anniversary of the 1984 miner’s strike, the National Theatre of Scotland adapts Joe Corrie’s 1926 classic play ‘In Times O’ Strife’, a breathtaking production about the Fife mining community buckling under the strain of a seven-month lockout. 
Other productions include Lewis Grassic Gibbon’s classic ‘Sunset Song’ and, back by popular demand, will be ‘Sunday Mornings on Dundee Law’ by local playwright Mike Gibb.
Dundee Rep will mark Shakespeare’s 450th birthday by taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival - the UK’s largest youth drama festival during which 35,000 young people will take to professional stages across the UK.

The monthly Jongleurs comedy nights continue at the Bonar Hall from August through to January. Performing on the Rep’s main stage is Daniel Sloss, Elaine C Smith, Fascinating Aida and Craig Hill. As a parody to the cult TV classic, ‘Father Ted’ there is a unique and interactive comedy dining experience ‘Ted & Co – The Dinner Show’ and an affectionate and funny homage to the greatest comedy double act, ‘Eric and Little Ern’.

The Rep will also welcome, for the first time, three national treasures - Su Pollard and Cannon And Ball - who will be performing in ‘Ha Ha Hood’ and the ‘Prince of Leaves’.
Music this autumn comes from the 80s songstress Mari Wilson; the soulful Elkie Brooks and the interactive ‘Sing-a-long-a Rocky Horror’ and there are four
energetic dance shows this autumn including Scottish Ballet’s – ‘Up Close’ and kicking off 2015 with a bang will be ‘Breakin’ Rules’ which features some of the best hip hop groups with their urban dance floor action.
