Friday, March 20 sees the Arbroath Male Voice Choir present its spring concert at the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath with special guest Melanie Gowie.
The choir, now in its 81st year, draws members from across Angus and Dundee, including several members from Letham, Forfar and Kirriemuir.
They will perform a wide variety of music from showtunes and popular classics to songs from the great American songbook, all with that special male voice choir sound.
Melanie Gowie is a star of the West End stage (she played Carlotta in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ for three years to critical acclaim) and recently made her operatic debut.
The Arbroath Male Voice Choir was founded in 1934 and currently has around 40 members.
Its musical director is Sheena Guthrie and accompanist is Brian Hirst.
Tickets priced £15 are available from the Webster Memorial Theatre box office in person or by phone on 01241 435800.
The choir’s concert on March 20 follows a solo concert from Joan Armatrading at the Webster on Tuesday, March 17 at 7.30 p.m.
Her performance will include songs that span her entire career so far in what is her last major tour.
