Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham have become a national institution with their incomparable mastery of fiddle and accordion.
They bring excellence in traditional music to venues across the country, and next month they are in concert in Kirriemuir Old Parish Church.
Individually they pursue other ventures in performance, television and education. It is when they tour together that they truly shine with over a quarter of a century of well honed skills and hilarious banter delighting audiences everywhere.
Aly Bain is Scotland’s supreme traditional style fiddler. His playing is unique - driving, impassioned and pure - with vibrant, unmistakable tone that has earned him a following of ardent fans throughout the world.
Phil Cunningham is described as a superb, innovative instrumentalist - the man who, in Scotland at least, made the accordion respectable again. He also plays fine keyboard and whistle and is a much respected composer.
