Have you ever been to a film musical and had the uncontrollable urge to burst into song? Then you are in for a treat.

Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a T-bird or a Pink Lady but never quite felt cool enough to pull it off?

Well, now is your chance to don those pink jackets, grease up those quiffs and let your inhibitions go for an evening where you are the stars. And remember, ‘Grease’ is the word…

Kirriemuir Amateur Operatic Society (KAOS) is holding a ‘Grease’ Sing–a-Long evening on Friday, November 8 in Kirriemuir Town Hall at 7.30 p.m. - so get a group of friends together and go along and star in your very own film musical.

The evening begins with your Sing-a-long-a Grease host leading a vocal warm-up before they show you how to use your free fun pack during the film and suggest some appropriate heckles and accompanying actions.

You’ll even get a chance to learn how to hand jive. There will be competitions for the best dressed male and female participant. Also practice your hula hoop skills as there will be a competition.

KAOS members are selling popcorn, pop cakes, wine, beer and soft drinks. Shake–a-Boom Boom will be selling milk shakes which will make the evening fun-filled.

All you have to do is sit back and watch Danny, Sandy and the gang, while singing (and dancing) along to the lyrics as they are shown on the screen.

It couldn’t be easier or more fun.

The first rule of Sing-a-long-a is there are no rules. Fancy dress is strongly encouraged (but not essential) and full audience participation essential.

Get your tickets (£6 each) at Nothing Like It, Reform Street, Kirriemuir or telephone 07729 321708 (over 12s only - no upper age limit!)

This promises to be a night to remember for Grease fans of all ages. The music is memorable - make sure you don’t miss out in what promises to be a fun night of singing and dancing.
