Saturday, May 10 is the date of an exclusive concert in North East Scotland, when lively local charity Angus Arts hosts the Conway Trio at Dickson Hall in Laurencekirk.
Will Conway, one of Britain’s foremost cellists and conductors and member of Hebrides Ensemble, will be joined by Sarah Bevan-Baker (violin) and Catherine Marwood (viola) for what should prove to be an outstanding concert.
Many classical music fans will know Sarah Bevan-Baker from her concerts with Raeburn Quartet, and she is also a member of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Hebrides Ensemble. Catherine Marwood is also a member of Hebrides Ensemble and is the principal viola in both the Scottish Ensemble and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
This is an exclusive appearance by the trio and the programme includes Mozart’s ‘Divertimento in E flat’, ‘The Bagpiper’s String Trio’ by Judith Weir and Schubert’s ‘B flat String Trio in one movement’.
