Dundee Rep’s autumn season

DUNDEE Rep Theatre is delighted to announce their exciting and vibrant autumn 2012 season.

Productions from award-winning Dundee Rep Ensemble include two plays set in Dundee.

The much loved Mill Lavvies by Chris Rattray makes a welcome return and new play She Town by Sharman Macdonald will be performed in Dundee for the first time. Following the success of previous community tours Dundee Rep Ensemble will tour Paul Godfrey’s Whisky Galore to nine community centres in Dundee. This year’s Christmas family show will be Mike Kenny’s magical adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic fairytale The Snow Queen.

Scottish Dance Theatre (SDT) presents What On Earth!? which combines dance and animation and Dundee Rep Community Company will perform Chances following one Dundee family as they deal with the emotional effects of the every changing way we spend, work and live.

This autumn we also see some of the best visiting drama, dance, music and comedy.

Visiting dance comes from Lost Dog and their black comic and highly physical duet It Needs Horses/Home For Broken Turns and the hugely popular Breakin’ Rules provides a variety of styles and flavours from the break dancing world.

Music from the legendry Barbara Dickson with Nick Holland and contemporary folk music from Breabach along with Andy Abraham’s History of the Big Bands! bring an eclectic and varied sound to the Rep.

Tickets are on sale from Dundee Rep box office, 01382 223530 or on line www.dundeerep.co.uk
