Aspiring young composers are invited to a weekend event to be held in the north east which will give them the unique opportunity to work with professional composers and musicians to create their own, original piece of music.
Their composition will then be performed by Red Note Ensemble on October 14 at Woodend Barn, Banchory.
The project called ‘Go Compose!’ is for young composers and creative musicians and is an intensive composition course for young composers aged 14 to 19 who are still in full time education.
The project will be led by leading contemporary composers Pippa Murphy and Gareth Williams who will be joined by professional musicians from Red Note Ensemble.
It is open to anyone aged 14 to 19 who has tried composing and who would like to learn more.
All workshops and performances take place at Woodend Barn, Burn O’ Bennie, Banchory from October 12 to 14.
