THe countdown is on once again for DD8’s Music annual “Live in the Den” open air event, which takes place this year on Saturday, August 11.
And after last year’s wash out event, a contingency plan has been set up just in case there is a repeat of the torrential downpours, with Martin Park booked as a back up venue.
Graham Galloway, DD8 chairman, said: “The event happens on Saturday, 11 and starts at noon. The line up is We Were Poseidon, Sonnet 65, The Trade, The ID Parade, We Are the Support Act, This is an Outrage and the DD8 Music Allstars. There will also be more than 20 stalls covering everything from arts and crafts through to fund-raising for local groups and charities. With a barbecue, face painting and bouncy castles it promises to be a great day out for all the family.
“Also, after last year’s unfortunate wash out, organisers DD8 Music have booked Martin Park has a contingency venue. So the fun will go ahead no matter what!”
More details on the popular event will appear in next week’s Sound and Vision pages.
