Webster’s High School is holding a spring fayre in the school hall this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.
Proceeds will go to help raise funds to continue the very successful link the school has established with Litein High School in Kenya.
There will be a variety of stalls selling items from jewellery, soaps and crafts to face painting and home baking.
Wheels for Webster’s, the minibus fund-raising group, will also be running a car wash, a barbecue and have stalls selling crepes and plants.
The Kenya group will be running a book/toy stall and a raffle and so any donations to these would be gratefully received.
There will also be the opportunity to see presentations throughout the day from the S6 pupils who visited Kenya in June 2011.
Entry to the spring fayre costs £2 and this includes refreshments and biscuits.
The Kenya link has been tremendously valuable to the school.
It has greatly widened the horizons of Webster’s pupils for several years now.
But British Council finance has now come to an end.
The spring fayre is the school’s big effort to make the link self-funding.
