New exhibition opens at Whitehills health facility

PATIENTS, staff and visitors will be able to enjoy a new art exhibition at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre in Forfar which features elephants, lions and much more.

Local artist Barbara Robertson, who lives in Douglastown, trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and her display will be on view at the centre for the next four weeks.

Artist and printmaker Barbara is showing an eclectic selection of water colours and coloured lino-prints capturing images from as far afield as Africa, Italy and China.

Exotic elephants, lions and African children are just some of the images that provided the inspiration for this collection of artworks.

Barbara’s prints are in public collections in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Tayside as well as in many private collections abroad.

Situated in the main corridor of the centre, the gallery has provided a venue for many local artists and the public are encouraged to pop in and view this exhibition of colourful art works.

Exhibitions at the centre are changed regularly throughout the year with artists donating 20% commission on all sales to the Whitehills Arts & Environment Fund.

All money raised is used to enhance the Whitehills environment for patients, staff and visitors.
