THIS year is a landmark 25th year for Scotland’s leading contemporary dance company.

They will shortly premiere a new body of work, Letters from America, placing side by side works by choreographers based on the USA’s east and west coasts.

Khaos, by Benjamin Levy (San Francisco) and Lay Me Down Safe by Kate Weare (NYC), brings fresh choreographic signatures from across the pond and dance makers whose work will be shown for the first time in the UK.

The tour opens at SDT’s home, Dundee Rep Theatre, on February 16 to 19 and tours the UK until May.

For 25 years SDT has been at the fore front of its genre and passionately believes in producing honest and engaging dance that has resonance in people’s lives.

It is celebrating its 25th birthday with a series of events including an exhibition of SDT’s images from throughout the years at Dundee Rep Theatre.

More anniversary events will be announced later in the year. Ticket details from Dundee Rep Theatre on 01382 223530.
