Brechin Town House Museum is getting ready to host an exciting new exhibition, displaying the work of several local artists.

Angus College art tutor Helen Whamond, a well known artist who tutors morning and afternoon classes in Brechin, Kirriemuir and Montrose, along with her students, will take part in the Angus Leisure Art exhibition from June 12 to July 6.

The event, organised by Lorna McCall - an artist who has attended Helen’s class for several years, will take place in The Gallery at the museum.

A total of 47 exhibitors from Helen’s six classes will display a culmination of over 75 paintings with a great variety of subjects, use of mediums and personal proficiency, creating a very exciting exhibition.

Visitors will have the opportunity to comment on the exhibits and vote for the painting they thought was the best in show and the winning artist will receive a voucher of £50 to purchase art materials from a popular supplier.

The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
