THE COUNTDOWN is on in earnest for the third Angus Open Studios event, which runs from Thursday, May 23, to Monday, May 27.

The aim is to foster and promote artists, contemporary and traditional craftsmen and designer-makers in Angus. Over 50 artists are opening up their studios to the public. They include Liz Watson who will be at her home at Roundyhill, near Kirriemuir. She works in acrylics and mixed media and finds her inspiration by the sea especially where boats have been abandoned to the elements. She also paints portraits which are her own lively interpretations of the subject. Copies of the AOS directory are available from local libraries.
