Forfar Boys Under-13s booked their place in the next round of the Jubilee Cup on Sunday with a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Pitfour.

The young Loons raced into an early lead and were always in command thereafter as they continued their fine start to the season.

Sean Tait grabbed the opener when he beat the outrushing keeper after three minutes.

Pitfour came close to scoring on 14 minutes but the ball was deemed not to have crossed the line and Forfar took advantage when they added two goals inside a minute.

Robbie McLauchlan shot into an empty net after
the keeper rushed to the
edge of his box to make a tackle and 60 seconds later Jack Neave fired home to make it three.

Aaron Morrison pulled off a fine save to thwart Pitfour as the first period drew to a close.

The second half was barely five minutes old when Forfar made it five.

Nathan Clark’s free-kick was well saved by the visiting keeper but Lewis McSherry followed up to smash it
high into the net and
the same player added his second on 41 minutes when he beat the keeper from close range.

Neave came close again with a chipped shot as Forfar kept up the pressure and the Pitfour goalie was in fine form to deny Ewen Miller, McLauchlan and Clark, while Craig Davidson sent his effort just over the bar.

In the dying seconds McSherry made it six when he completed his hat-trick.

Forfar: Morrison, Balfour, Forbes, White, Miller, Fleming, Kelman, Tait, McLauchlan, McSherry, Neave. Subs - Davidson, Clark, Davison.
