Forfar Young Curlers won both the Under-13 and Under-15 events in Inverness and now go on to represent ‘North’ in the Scottish Finals that will take place at Braehead Ice Arena, Glasgow on March 23 between North, South East and West.

The Under-15 team were Layla Wylie (FYC - skip), Nicola Joiner (FYC - third), Rachel Flint (FYC - second) and Jodie Duff (FYC - lead). In the first game against Inverness they were completely dominant winning 9-0.

In the second game against Elgin, Team Wylie were in fine form being 5-0 up going down the last. A few wayward shots in the last end cost the team their only end loss of the day, losing a four, but still winning the game 5-4 which was enough to win their qualifier event.

The Under-13 team were Campbell White (FYC - skip), Angus Burnett (FYC - third), Daniel Harrison (FYC - second) and Inca Maguire (FYC - lead). The team won their first game against Inverness 6-3. Team White drew the second game 3-3 against Elgin before winning their last game 3-2 against Aberdeen.

Forfar finished top and qualified for Braehead.

The prizes were presented by Ewan MacDonald who competed in 2010 Winter Olympics for Team GB.
