Glamis youngster James Wilson is gearing up for the final of a national race for downhill mountain biking this weekend.
James, 11, will take part in the Scottish Power Mini Downhill final on Saturday, June 7 at Nevis Range, Fort William during the Downhill World Cup event.
The P6 pupil at Tealing Primary School entered his first race in the sport last year at Kinnoull Hill in Perth, finishing third. James was eagerly awaiting the first downhill races of this year and his winter training paid off with a string of great results, finishing on the podium in all four races.
He finished third in round one at Fort William before winning rounds two and three at Aberfeldy and Newmilns, before coming in second in round four at Comrie.
