Sensei Dan off to World Champs in Dublin this month

A talented team of children and adults selected from across Dundee and Angus will be flying out to Dublin to represent Kanzen Karate Scotland at the World Championships in the middle of June.

The event, the biggest of its kind on the international Karate calendar, will have over 2000 competitors and will showcase the best karate exponents from across the World.

Sensei Dan Woods, who teaches at Kanzen Karate Clubs in Forfar, Carnoustie and Arbroath has been selected and will be leading out the team.

Dan Woods said: “We are gearing up for the forthcoming World Championships and our squad have worked very hard in preparing for this event.

“To represent your club and country is a huge honour and I’m we will do our club and country proud. The team spirit in this squad is the best I’ve seen and we are ready to compete with the best in the World.”

Kanzen Karate runs classes at Lochside Lesiure Centre on Friday evenings from 5pm to 6pm - open to all ages. For more details, please visit:
