Forfar triathlon star Andrew Woodroffe has qualified for the Age Group European Championships in Geneva next year after another superb performance.

The 20-year-old former Forfar Academy pupil finished third in a sprint triathlon at Rother Valley near Sheffield this week.

He finished with the following times: 750m swim - 11.46; 24.5km bike - 43.09; 5km run - 16.53.

His total time with transitions was 1.13.12.

The Plymouth University graduate will now represent Great Britain in the European competition in 2015, coming just a year after he will have been part of Team GB for the Age Group Team event at the 2014 Standard Distance Triathlon World Championships in Canada this coming August.

It’s a fantastic run from the athlete following just one year of serious competitive racing in triathlon.

Andrew is coached by Graeme Stewart, the Celtman 2013 winner, and writes a blog about his exploits at andrewwoodroffe.blogspot.co.uk where you can catch up on all his latest goings-on.
