It was a glorious weekend for Dundee Wildcats Taekwon Do Academy as their students returned home from the British Championships with a stunning haul of 32 medals.
Students from Angus and Dundee travelled to Kidderminster for the competition, and they came back with a very impressive medal tally, with seven new British champions being crowned.
Among the Academy’s successful martial arts competitors was Forfar woman Anna Donahue, who grabbed two gold medals.
Other winners were: Zoe Hutcheson who also won two golds, Nicole Dowdles with one silver and one bronze and Alastair Munnoch with one bronze.
Marnie Davie won one silver, Cieren Kelly won two silvers, Lyn Bryceland with one silver and two bronze, Kane Stone with one silver, Raymond Paterson with two silvers, Blair Calder with one gold, one silver and one bronze, Finlay Banks with two bronze, Sean Bryceland with one gold, two silver and one bronze, Lucy Banks with two gold, Lucy Bryceland with a gold, two silver and one bronze and Cherry Barker with one gold.
Coach Unity Kane said: “They all deserve our highest praise. A great big thank you goes to the mums and dads who accompanied us on the long journey to Kidderminster.
“Our students conducted themselves in an extremely courteous manner throughout the event.
“A very special vote of thanks must go to Mrs Lyn Bryceland for all her hard work in putting this fabulous weekend together.”
