Have your say

WITH only two weeks left before the evening sessions at Lintrathen Loch finish, there has been very few instances where we have seen balmy evenings and prolific fly hatches causing the fish to rise all over.

There certainly has been plenty of fish caught but the anglers have had to work for them.

Limit baskets and big fish have been taken over the past week after the weather eased off a bit.

The Sawmill end has fished particularly well as has the Dam wall.

Best taking flies this week have been Red Crunchers, Red Diawl Bachs (again) and also Green Diawl Bachs, all fished just below the surface on a sink tip or floating line.

Club results were as follows:- Dundee East End, three boats, 11 fish for 23lbs 9ozs; Freuchie AC, three boats, three for 6lbs 8ozs; Blairgowrie, Rattray & District, six boats, 38 for 53lbs 2ozs (including one at 3lbs 6ozs).

Individual boats: Tom Melville & Jim Galloway, ten for 23lbs 8ozs; Stuart & Moira Ferrie, six for 11lbs 4ozs; Carson Anderson & Andy Spink, seven for 14lbs 12ozs; John Browning, five for 11lbs; Dr Varna & Paul Chambers, eightfor 15lbs 4ozs; Mr Slamon & partner, ten for 22lbs (including one at 3lbs 8ozs).
