10th place at national competition

Four golfers from Scotland competed in the Audi quattro UK Cup Final at the Bowood Golf and Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire, yesterday Thursday, September 5.'Sandy Anderson, aged 54, from Baillieston, Glasgow, and Paul Bond (53), from Stonehouse near Hamilton claimed eighth on 36-points while Ewen Matthew (19), from Northmuir and playing partner Mike Duffus (57), from Milltimber, Aberdeen, placed 10th on 34-points.'The one-day, 18-hole 'Stableford' rules competition was won by Mike Broad (Norfolk) and Andrew Witter (Suffolk) on 40 points.'Matthew and Duffus had individually finished first and second in the Aberdeen and Dundee Audi Trump International GC event (June 6) before teaming up to claim first place in a Regional Final at the Dalmahoy GC (July 15).'Pictured here are Ewen Matthew (left) and Mike Duffus.

Local golfer Ewen Matthew was one of four from Scotland who competed in the Audi Quattro UK Cup Final at the Bowood Golf and Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire, last Thursday, September 5.

Ewen (19), from Northmuir and playing partner Mike Duffus (57), from Milltimber, Aberdeen, were placed 10th in the competition overall on 34-points.

Meanwhile, Sandy Anderson (54), from Baillieston, Glasgow, and Paul Bond (53), from Stonehouse near Hamilton claimed eighth on 36-points.
