STRATHMORE PROGRESS IN SCOTTISH AMATEUR CUP

STRATHMORE are through to the fifth round of the Scottish Amateur Cup.

The Forfar and District Sunday Amateur League side got the better of Drumchapel Athletic by four goals to two after extra time on Sunday past.

In the second round of the Tayside Sunday Amateur Cup, Craw's Nest were in seventh heaven as they ousted Thrums Hotel.

Sunday's results were as follows:-

Scottish Amateur Cup fourth round - Strathmore 4, Drumchapel Athletic 2 (after extra time).

Tayside Sunday Amateur Cup second round - Craw's Nest 7, Thrums Hotel 0.

League - AFC Plough 2, AS Tutties 1; Kirrie Thistle Social Club 1, Abbey Athletic 6; Letham Hotel 4, Dalhousie Hotel 0.

This Sunday's fixtures are as follows:-

Scottish Amateur Cup fifth round - Strathmore v Hallglen (as arranged, Lower Steele, 1 pm kick-off).

League - AS Tutties v Craw's Nest (A. Smith, Hercules Den); FC Porty v Cliffburn (later, Arbroath); Dalhousie Hotel v Crown Inn (A. Kennedy, Carnoustie House);Finavon v AFC Plough (D. Muir, Lochside); Kirrie Thistle Social Club v Letham Hotel (W. Ferguson, Martin Park); Millgate Bar v Thrums Hotel (D. Shepherd, Hercules Den).

There will be an association meeting in the Plough inn, Forfar, on Monday evening at 7.30 pm.
