LETHAM HOTEL BOW OUT OF SCOTTISH AMATEUR CUP

LETHAM Hotel bowed out of the Scottish Amateur Cup at the weekend, being caught in the web of Queen's Park Spiders and going down by four goals to two.

The match was the only one involving teams in the Forfar and District Amateur Football League to beat the very wet weather at the weekend.

This Sunday's fixtures are as follows:-

Scottish Sunday Amateur Cup third round - Hallglen v AFC Plough (ass arranged, Falkirk, 1 pm);Strathmore v Sporting Chessor Inn (ass arranged, Lower Steele 1 pm).

League - Dalhousie v Finavon (M. Harrison, Carnoustie House); Kirrie Thistle Social Club v Crown Inn (A. Smith, Martin Park); Vollies v FC Porty (K. Beats, Lochside); Thrums Hotel v Craw's Nest (D. Muir, Martin Park); Letham v Clffburn (W. Ferguson, Letham);

In an effort to reduce the possibility of a fixture backlog secretaries of home teams who have been advised that their park is unplayable are asked to contact the match secretary prior to contacting the opposition secretary and referee.

This may enable the match secretary to arrange for the fixture to be revised or alternative fixtures to be arranged to prevent fixture backlog.
