Leaders edge past
the Cricket Club
THE West End Bar A remained five points clear at the top of the Forfar Pool League, after edging past the Cricket Club last midweek.
Bar Central comfortably beat the Plough Inn, to remain in touch with the front-runners, while the Victoria B are also in there pitching for honours.
Thursday evening’s results were as follows:- Victoria Bar A 6, Victoria Bar C 12; Cricket Club 8, West End Bar A 10; West End Bar B 11, Strathmore Bar 7; Bar Central 14, Plough Inn 4; Legion 10, Burns Bar 8; Thistle Bar A 7, Thistle Bar B 11.
On Thursday evening (tomorrow) the fixtures are as follows:-
George Paul Trophy second round - Victoria Bar C v Thistle Bar B; Legion v Strathmore Bar; Bar Central v Burns Bar; Victoria Bar B v West End Bar A.
Teams require eight players for this tourney, each player playing two games of singles against the same opponent.
