Hoping for a big turnout for Scottish Cup
Plans are already being made for the Loons first ever visit to the Falkirk Stadium for their William Hill Scottish Cup fifth round tie against the ‘Bairns’ on February 2.
The club is laying on subsidised coach travel to the game at a bargain cost of only £7. The coaches will leave the Myre Car Park at 12.30 p.m. returning straight after the match.
Coach tickets will be available to purchase at the home game against Ayr United on Saturday (January 12), at the Loons Direct shop within the ground and at the main turnstile block or from Toy Castle in Castle Street as from Monday, January 14.
The directors are hoping that a much larger than usual travelling support will make the effort to travel on the day for what is a huge fixture for Dick Campbell and his side.
Alastair Donald, Forfar Athletic chairman, said: “Not counting Rangers, who despite being in the Third Division, are a big club, we are the smallest club left in the Scottish Cup this year.
“It’s an absolutely remarkable achievement and I think that we have managed it less than 10 times in our history. I really hope that the fans will support us in Falkirk - it really will make a huge difference to the team if there are 150 fans that have made the effort to go down there.”
