CAMPBELLS NET AS FORFAR TRIUMPH IN CIS CUP

FORFAR Athletic have hit winning form when it matters - securing a place in the second round of the CIS Cup on Saturday.

Following half a dozen pre-season friendly reverses, the Loons came good a the Forthbank Stadium, defeating first division Stirling Albion by two goals to one.

Iain Campbell scored Forfar's first competitive goal of the campaign in 16 minutes, slotting home from close range and last season's top marksman, Ross Campbell, made it two in 51 minutes, slotting home after good work by on-loan striker Dale Hilson.

Stirling Albion reduced the leeway through Nathan Taggart in 64 minutes - but it is Forfar who go into the round two draw later this week.
