Forfar West End defender John Cairney is trading in his football boots for a pair of running shoes as he takes part in the Relay For Life in August.
The centre half will be taking it in turns to walk or run around the track for the duration of the relay with the rest of his team on Saturday, August 23 in Dundee.
All the money John raises will be used to support Cancer Research UK’s life-saving research into preventing, controlling and curing cancer.
Cancer Research UK aims to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured and every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound donated. Your donation will make a real difference!
John’s donation site says: “Every pound you donate really does make a difference, so please donate now and help beat cancer sooner. Many thanks for your support. United we are stronger than cancer.”
The website also reminds donors that UK taxpayers can tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase the donation by at least 25% at no additional cost.
