Forfar’s strong defensive record has put them in an ideal position as the league campaign enters its last quarter.

Speaking after an incredible week which saw his team hold near rivals Brechin to a 1-1 draw before going on to trounce Stranraer 4-0 away from home last Tuesday, followed by a 1-0 victory at Station Park on Saturday, manager Dick Campbell has said this sends a clear message that Forfar has retained its status in the league.

He was “very happy” to take 13 points out of the last 18. The next few games will be all to play for, with, as he says, Airdrieonians, East Fife and Arbroath all “fighting for their lives.” He praised the team for turning things around adding Dale Hilson and Gavin Swankie have now “come alive”.
