FORFAR Athletic came within three minutes of clinching an all-important away win at Stirling Albion on Tuesday evening.
The Loons had pulled back from a goal down at the break to take the lead, only to have a men sent off and lose a goal at the death.
The two-two draw leaves Forfar on the 27-point mark alongside the Binos, with Albion Rovers, victors over Stenhousemuir on Tuesday evening, just a point adrift.
Albion took the lead through Mark Ferry in 17 minutes, but Forfar hit back with two goals in three minutes early in the second period.
In 61 minutes, Steve Tulloch, having returned from a loan spell at Beriwck, headed home from eight yards and then Chris Templeman scored his 15th goal of the season to put the Loons in front.
Chris Hegarty was then shown red for a challenge on the Stirling keeper.
Forfar looked to be on target for victory until McSorley levelled for the home sidein 87 minutes.
Next up fo Forfar is a home derby match against Brechin City on Saturday.
