THE build-up to the new season at Station Park is underway, with nine of last season’s squad having agreed new one-year deals.
They are Michael Bolochoweckyj, Iain Campbell, Ross Campbell, Martyn Fothringham, Graham Gibson, Mark McCulloch, David Mowatt, Chris Templeman and Stephen Tulloch.
Jamie Bishop, Bryan Deasley and Greg Ross have also been offered further one-year deals, while the manager is planning to have further discussions with Darren Brady and Barry Sellars later this week.
Calum Smith and Paul Watson have departed the Station Park scene, having not been offered new deals.
The manager will be looking to further boost his squad ahead of the start of pre-season training – which is not too far off!
There are no clues as yet on the players he is after, although the rumour mill has been suggesting the return to Station Park of Kevin Byers, who has been released by Brechin City.
Another name on the grape-vine is former Forfar favourite Paul Tosh, who was still banging in the goals for Montrose last season.
The close season seems to get shorter each year, with the draw for the opening round of the Challenge Cup due to be made on Monday of next week.
The thirty Scottish Football League clubs will be joined in the draw by Highland League clubs Buckie Thistle and Deveronvale, with the first round due to be played on Saturday, July 23.
