Flying Forfar full-back Michael Kennedy can’t speak highly enough of the atmosphere and team spirit boasted by the League Two leaders.
Kennedy was a key player for the Loons as they saw off nearest rivals Clyde 1-0 on Saturday,
The win sends Forfar eight points clear at the top of the table and for Michael, the results only show how strong a core the squad has.
He said: “The atmosphere in the dressing room is absolutely brilliant. What a difference to last year being at the bottom all season.
Getting a 1-0 win here, these are big games, it’s massive. We work hard for each other, the guys are great and the dressing room is a fantastic place to be in.
“If the boys up top aren’t scoring then we’ve got guys at the back to see a game out. The team we’ve put together has excellent balance.
“It was a fantastic goal for Tam. There’s a few of them getting goals from everywhere.
“I’ve been out for about six weeks with my hamstring and that’s me back for the last three weeks. The guys at the back did great and we defended very well.
“It shows you what we can do, we can score a lot of goals but we can keep them out at the other. Grant’s save at the end was fantastic. We’re all there to do our job when needed. Grant pulls that save off then three boys are flinging themselves at the ball.
“It’s just a really, really good team to play in. We’re grounded obviously, there’s a really long way to go but we’re giving ourselves a good start by putting a bit of a gap there.
“We’re looking forward to the derby next week, we’re hoping for another three points there and as ever, we take every game as it comes.”
