Helping Forfar Athletic land the League Two title would be icing on the cake for testimonial man Martyn Fotheringham.
The fan favourite's astonishing 10 years of service with the Station Park club is going to be honoured this month when Paul Hartley brings a full strength Dundee side to Angus on Tuesday, March 21 for a testimonial game against the Loons.
Foxy admitted he's very excited about the celebration but said he's just trying to remain focused on the crucial target - winning the championship and immediate promotion back to League One.
The midfield architect also stressed his gratitude to club officials for doing so much for him in this landmark season, because they're under no obligation to do so.
Martyn said: "Winning the title in my 10th season would be the icing on my cake, it’d be everything. I told the manager in the summer when they offered me the testimonial, that we just have to go and win the league now.
"We’re in the position to do that, we just have to handle the pressure and see it through. That would cap things off perfectly for me.
"I’m looking forward to the testimonial, we’ve got a fair bit of football to play yet but we’ll be able to take our mind off things for a couple of hours at least.
"I spoke to Paul Hartley last week and he’s sending the first team up because they’ve not got a game that week, it’s very good of him and it’s good of the club to give me that recognition because they don’t need to do it.
"It should be a good night and a good occasion. I really appreciate it from the club because as I say, they don’t need to do anything but it means a lot for them to do something to recognise my 10 years of service like this."
