DIRECTORS of Forfar Athletic Football Club are planning to organise hospitality packages for the semi-final stage of the play-offs for a place in the Scottish first division.
Plans are slightly up in the air at present, for, although the dates for the two-legged joust are known, the venues have yet to be decided.
If the Loons finish in the runner-up spot in the league the semi-final home match with Ayr United will be played on Saturday, May 14 with a 3 pm kick-off.
However, if they finish in third or fourth spot, Forfar will be at home in the first leg on Wednesday, May 11 with a 7.45 pm kick-off.
The plan is for hospitality packages to be available on whichever date the home match lands.
Anyone with an interest should telephone 07753 137778 or 07803 208502 after Saturday’s match.
If the first leg is on Wednesday, the hospitality packages are likely to come in around £25 for non-season ticket holders and £15 for season ticket holders.
Admission prices for the semi-final will be as follows:- Stand: adults, £13; senior citizens and juveniles, £7; ground: adults, £12; senior citizens and juveniles £6.
Season tickets will be valid.
There are also plans to run a supporters’ coach to Ayr, departing from the Myre at 4pm if the game is on Wednesday and around mid-morning if the game is on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the annual sportsman’s dinner, to be staged on Friday, May 20, looks set to be another roaring success.
Twenty-six tables have now been booked for the event in the Reid Hall and the directors are delighted with the response, especially in the current economic climate.
However, they are, as ever, on the lookout for items of interest for the auction on the night and also prizes for the raffle.
Both the auction and the raffle are a major part of the overall fund-raising effort on the evening and support would be most welcome.
Anyone who can assist should contact David McGregor on 07871165689.
