Forfar Farmington have confirmed the departure of head coach Damon Neish.

The move brings an end to Damon’s 18 month tenure with the SWPL side just a matter of weeks after Forfar confirmed their place in next season’s restructured Premier League.

Neish said on Twitter that his departure from the club came after he and officials “disagreed on the direction” of the side.

Damon’s tweets read: “Would like to thank everyone at @Farmington_FC for the last 18 months! By far the bext experience I have ever had! An amazing club!

“Gonna miss working with a great set of girls.

“Forfar have been an amazing club, and given me chances no one else would have.

“We disagreed on the direction, but that’s all it was.”

In a short statement on the club’s Twitter feed, Forfar Farmington said: “Forfar Farmington have this week parted company with Premier League head coach Damon Neish. The club are currently looking for a replacement going forward.

“We would like to wish Damon all the best for the future.”
