Stirling Albion gaffer Greig McDonald praised his players for their resolve after they turned a 2-0 deficit round to grab a well-deserved point.
Greig had seen his Binos outfit capitulate under a similar scoreline a week previously against Brechin City, who went on to win 5-0, and the manager was thrilled to see his side dig deep to avoid a repeat outcome.
He said: “I would say Forfar were probably the better team but I would also say that’s probably a reflection of us getting beat 5-0 last week. I just felt the boys needed to have that bit more belief about them and funnily enough it came when we were 2-0 down.
“I thought they were magnificent, they grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and did very well to drag themselves back into it because you’ll not play many teams better than Forfar at this level.
“Though Forfar have scored two good goals, I don’t think they were cutting us open for fun and I don’t think Callum Reidford’s had a tremendous amount to do.
“We were due the fans a reaction after last week.”
