Forfar Athletic have earned their place in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup with a 2-1 win over East Fife at Station Park on Saturday.
The Loons have now played the Methil side three times this season and each time they have recorded a win.
Speaking after the game Loons boss Dick Campbell said: “The object of this exercise was to get through to the next round of the Scottish Cup and that’s what we have done.
“Marvin [Andrews] has got an injury and one or two wee knocks and bruises and all the rest of it but most of our players are coming back so we will play a reserve game on Tuesday [last night against Tayport] and let’s see who we get in the next round of the Scottish Cup.
“In this game it’s important for clubs like Forfar to get through to the next round and that’s what we’ve done.
“It was a great goal from Chris Templeman, a sensational goal. So was the first one from Dale Hilson.”
Meanwhile, the Loons are preparing to host Brechin City this Saturday at Station Park for their second derby meeting of the season.
The Glebe Park side are no doubt on a high after knocking Arbroath out of the Scottish Cup on Saturday so it will be a tough game for Dick Campbell and his men.
But with Brechin just a point ahead of Forfar in the league there is the potential for the Loons to climb further up the table this weekend.
