Forfar Boys Under-15s were back in action for the first time since the end of February and ran out comfortable winners by defeating Edzell by 8-0 at home.
After a shaky start Forfar eventually settled down into the game and went ahead when Menmuir fired the ball into the net after being put in by Simpson.
Menmuir then got himself a brace to make it two nil when he weaved into the box from the left to smash the ball high into the net.
Just before half time it was 3-0 to Forfar when Shortridge met a Baillie free kick to power a header home off the back post.
Despite playing against a strong wind, Forfar managed to create more than a few half chances and Edzell were fortunate to only be three goals down.
With the wind in their favour in the second half, Forfar totally dominated proceedings with Urquhart in the home goal a virtual spectator as they scored another five goals with no reply from the visitors.
Baillie scored direct from a corner kick to make it four and it was soon five when Watt fired a screamer into the net after some good battling by Davidson to win possession.
Rigby then set up Baillie for a long range strike which flew into the net for his second and Forfar’s sixth.
Rigby then got on the score sheet himself when he hit a left foot drive low in to the corner of the net to make it seven. The scoring was completed when man of the match Davidson played Crozier in through the inside right channel to calmly slot the ball home.
Edward, Simpson and Beattie, along with others and sometimes on more than one occasion, all went close for Forfar, but they had to settle for eight although it could have been quite a few more.
The Forfar team on the day was Urquhart, Rigby, Crozier, Beattie, Davidson, Simpson, Baillie, Shortridge (c), Edward, Watt and Menmuir.
