FORFAR Athletic came out of a 64-day ‘hibernation’ and hit the ground running at Dumbarton on Tuesday evening.
The Loons had to come from a goal down to claim all three points in the first league outing snce mid-November.
Chris Templeman volleyed a shot off the crossbar before Dumberaton took the lead in 26 minutes – Pat Walker converting a Derek Carcary cross from the left.
But Forfar came roaring back in the second period to score twice within a minute.
First Barry Sellars sent Bryan Deasley racing clear with a 60-yard pass, and although the winger was crowded out, Martyn Fotheringham was on hand to bundle home the loose ball.
Sixty seconds later Deasaley sneaked in behind a static home defence to round the keeper and slot home what as to prove the winner.
