Forfar Athletic go into tonight’s Petrofac Training Cup second round tie with Dunfermline Athletic full of confidence.
The Loons claimed their fourth successive win - and fourth consecutive clean sheet - on Saturday as they hammered Albion Rovers 4-0 at Station Park.
That game was the first of four home games in 10 days for Dick Campbell’s troops and it was the ideal start for them.
Tonight’s clash looks to be a very tantalising one with the so-far impervious Forfar defence looking to keep out Dunfermline’s free-scoring forwards.
Dick is anticipating a belter of a game between two sides in top form.
He said: “Dunfermline are coming into Tuesday’s game with 20-odd goals in four games and we’re playing very well, so it should be a cracker of a game with a big crowd here.
“I thought it was an even first half against Albion Rovers. There were peaks and troughs in the first half, we were good then we weren’t. Rab hasn’t had a save to make in the whole game.
“We adapted to the elements in the second half. It’s not easy at all to play on astroturf with the wind downhill.
“That’s four games on the trot we’ve not lost a goal. Some of the stuff we played in the second half, nobody would deny us the right to win the game.
“There’s still more to come from us.”
