Forfar Athletic boss Dick Campbell is in advanced talks to sign striker Dale Hilson on a permanent deal.
The 21-year-old forward was recently released by Dundee United after spending three years on loan at Station Park - remarkably amassing over 100 appearances for the Loons despite not actually having signed for them.
No contract has yet been signed but Campbell is excited by the potential move.
He told the Dispatch: “We’re very far down with the line with Dale. I’ve been working really hard on it and it will be a magnificent signing for Forfar. Dale has played over 100 games for us. I can’t believe more full time teams weren’t in for him. It’ll be a fantastic signing, I’m absolutely delighted. He gives you that added excitement, he’s got pace and runs at people and I’m sure the fans will be delighted if he returns.”
