New Forfar Athletic midfielder Bryan Hodge believes keeping the majority of last season’s squad together stands the Loons in very good stead.

The 27-year-old signed a pre-contract with the Station Park outfit at the beginning of 2015 while he was playing for Stenhousemuir.

I’m confident we have the quality to go and win it, I can’t see why not.

He is one of two new additions to Dick Campbell’s side so far, joining ex-Cowdenbeath defender Tam O’Brien at the club.

The majority of the players from last season’s team have been retained and Hodge thinks this can only a good thing.

He said: “Keeping a team together, with how well they did last season, surely the momentum from last season must work.

“There’s been a lot of changes at all the other clubs. Hopefully we can go and win the league this year and go up automatically. I’m confident we have the quality to go and win it, I can’t see why not.”
