Paul Brand (left) and Callum Callander competed in the Great North Run on Sunday, September 18.
The event is 13.1 miles long, run through the middle of Newcastle, and is the most famous half-marathon in the world.
“We ran for the charity Diabetes UK as a few close friends suffer from the condition and felt that it was a charity that effects a lot of people in a very positive way,” explains Callum.
“Together we managed to raise just under £1500, something we were very proud of and hope to do it again next year.”
Paul Brand completed the course in one hour 32 minutes and seven seconds, while Callum Callander went round in one hour 30 minutes and 52 seconds.
