Albion hit back with late strikes

FORFAR Albion drew two-each in their Emirates Scottish Junior Cup first round match against Nairn St. Ninians on Saturday.

Under new manager Derek Lawson, who has replaced Sean Kelly, the men from Guthrie Park were two goals behind, having missed a spot-kick.

But they bounced back with strikes by Mark McIntosh and Scott Black in the final ten minutes to earn a replay up north this coming Saturday.

However, Kirrie Thistle bowed out of the national tourney, going down by two goals to nil to Kelty Hearts.

It was always going to be a tough ask against the East Super League side from Fife.

But Thistle gave a good account before succumbing to goals by ex-Forfar Athletic and West End striker Bryan Duell and Conrad Courts.
